Drivers for Combined Heat and Power (CHP) in Alberta include: 
  • CHP supports policy objectives of a vibrant economy, job creation, improved resiliency, and a sustainable energy system;
  • CHP helps industrial, commercial, institutional, recreational, and multi-residential buildings manage costs, stay competitive, and maintain and create jobs; and,
  • CHP facilities provide a key pathway to reduce GHG emissions to meet Alberta's climate change commitments

SUCCESS IN 2017
  • 50+ Participants representing 20+ organizations engaged, expanding the group and widening the reach of engagement
  • Advocated for CHP as a cost-effective solution to help improve energy efficiency and reduce GHGs via submissions to the development of the Community Generation policy and the update of the Micro-Generation regulation.
