QUEST – Quality Urban Energy Systems of Tomorrow – is seeking a full-time, Senior Lead, Development and Services.
 
QUEST is the leader developing Smart Energy Communities that improve energy efficiency, enhance reliability, cut costs, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. You will be part of a dynamic, committed, growing, and innovative team that works together to reach these inspiring goals.
 
Position Overview
Putting QUEST’s Subscribers, clients, Caucuses and Working Groups at the centre of everything we do, it is the role of the Senior Lead, Development and Services to develop and deliver Subscriber offerings and to work in close collaboration with Caucuses and Working Groups to enhance Subscriber services. Primary responsibilities include the strategic growth, management, marketing and delivery of Subscriber services, as well as the monitoring and reporting on Subscriber offerings.
 
Reporting to the Executive Director (Supervisor), the Senior Lead, Development and Services will be expected to work and support all QUEST markets and areas of practice to ensure the efficient delivery of projects, respond to the diverse needs of Caucuses and Working Groups, and maintain a high level of professionalism towards funders, volunteers, clients, Subscribers and partners.

Functions and responsibilities
The Senior Lead, Development & Services is expected to undertake the following:
 
1.Business Development
•Using expertise in strategic business development, the Senior Lead will generate leads and build relationships with new and existing clients (e.g., Subscribers, Advisory Services, sponsorship, etc.).
•Contribute to establishing and implementing QUEST`s business plan, with a focus on Subscriber offerings, with a clear matrix that includes quarterly revenue targets, milestones and deliverables.
•Work with staff to ensure Subscriber offerings and services, including Advisory Services, complement and reinforce priority markets and activities identified for QUEST.
•Provide leadership and direction to advance Smart Energy Communities.
 
2. Management
•Take an active role in the Senior Management Team (SMT) to ensure sound management of the organization and an integrated team approach.
•Responsible for ensuring that staff, volunteers, students, consultants and agencies under your direct responsibility are well managed and supervised. This includes the efficient organization and assignment of work, and administration of agreements, contracts, terms of reference and personnel policies. 
•Develop, implement, and monitor operational processes and procedures to ensure attainment of yearly business plan revenue targets, milestones and deliverables for Subscribers, and ensure all internal and external reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.
•Prepare proposals and terms of reference for Subscribers, sponsorship, clients, and projects.
 
3. Relationship Management
•Serve as an ambassador for QUEST, building appropriate relationships for the positive benefit of the organization, attend conferences and events, and participate in external committees/bodies as directed.
•Oversee the efficient use and application of a customer relationship management system (CRM).
 
4. Financial & Administration
•In conjunction with the SMT, be accountable for securing funds to operate on a yearly basis, including the leading of general sponsorship activities, such as for QUEST’s conference and tradeshow and regional events, and developing and implementing a sustainable revenue strategy for the long term.
•In conjunction with the Executive Director, be responsible for managing assigned budgets.
•Work in close collaboration with QUEST`s financial controller to issue invoices, monitor accounts payable including online payments, and to track Subscriber deliverable commitments.

Position Qualifications
•Degree or diploma in business, marketing or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
•Proven track record of generating new business during your 3+ years of experience in sales or fundraising.
•Experience working in a CRM database (e.g., Salesforce).
•Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator is an asset.
•Eligibility to work in Canada.
•Bilingualism (French) an asset.
•Community-based energy solutions, planning or environmental experience and training is an asset.
•Domestic travel required.

This is a full-time position. Compensation commensurate with experience.
